Deep-dive APR Seminar: Strategic Planning + RPIE - Applied Training
PRSA-NCC
May 6 - Saturday
8:45 AM
11:00 AM

The Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is a professional development and certification program that strengthens skills in the strategic practice of Public Relations.

NO PRE-REQUISITES required for participation: including neither formal enrollment in the APR nor previous participation in the Jump-start course.

The PRSA-National Capital Chapter (NCC) understands the key to success for enabling candidates to achieve their APR goal on time and within budget. For many, core concepts of integrated strategic planning and the research, planning, implementation and evaluation (RPIE) framework will take some time to internalize and apply in professional practice.

Seminar participants will:

Develop their knowledge of research methods, strategies, and implementation practices to determine and justify the best approach for conducting a situation assessment given their specific needs, context, and budget.
Review the differences between strategies and tactics, outcome versus output objectives, as well as monitoring and evaluation best practices for planning, implementing and evaluating your PR approach.
Develop their skills by reviewing a number of case studies and also applying their knowledge of RPIE to model scenario-based questions encountered on the computer-based examination.
