Meet the Media: How to Make Friends and Influence... Your Media Contacts
PRSA-NCC
Nov 16 - Thursday
8:00 AM
10:00 AM

With today’s time constraints and 24-7 news cycle, it can be difficult to meet, in person, the media who cover your issues, to put a face to a name, and to learn more about them.

Join us for a lively discussion with DC-based journalists about the trends and events they care about, how best to pitch them, and perhaps most importantly, how to stay on their good side. The panelists will also share a little about themselves, their news organizations, their likes and dislikes, and how they prefer to interact with PR professionals. This is a valuable opportunity to hear how you can help shape a journalist’s perspective and build lasting and effective relationships with the media.

The more you know about the people and organizations who cover and influence the topics important to you, the better chance you will have in getting their attention when you need it most. Learn more about them and the organizations they represent, and give them the opportunity to learn more about you!

Media Panelists:

• Michelle Hackman, Reporter, The Wall Street Journal
• Tim Starks, Reporter, Politico
• Anna Yukhananov, Executive Editor, Morning Consult
• Additional panelists TBA
