Narrowcasting: What Digital Marketers Need to Know
PRSA-NCC
Jan 23 - Tuesday
8:00 AM
10:30 AM

With the growth of social media channels focusing on “narrowcasting,” or communication among smaller groups of people, you need to participate to stay relevant. Consumers’ use of these channels like Snapchat and Instagram Stories requires that marketers adopt new, creative approaches to content that fit within their overall digital strategy. By understanding how to harness this trend as a part of an overall digital strategy, you will be able to better ensure success.

Some brands and organizations are already experimenting. Using their content examples as a starting point, you will participate in a discussion about how the content uses narrowcasting to be successful and then brainstorm other content tactics. You will then be broken into smaller groups to create a narrowcasting content strategy for a sample company.

Throughout this session, you’ll learn how to implement innovative content strategies into your communications plan, including how to:
• Use narrowcasting on popular channels
• Learn from examples how organizations currently use narrowcasting
• Approach narrowcasting planning to fit within a larger strategy
• Generate content ideas that work for narrowcasting

Agenda:

8:00-8:30am - Networking, registration, continental breakfast
8:30-10:30am - Program and Q&A
