The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for working with the marketing team to develop comprehensive marketing messages and strategic marketing plans to promote AWEA events, the job Board, and online store. This includes driving event attendance, job board use and exposure, and online store sales through online assets (websites, email), printed promotional materials and mailings, and industry focused advertising. Budgeting for these efforts is managed by the marketing coordinator. Incumbent will collaborate with the team on effective cross-marketing opportunities for AWEA Membership, and other AWEA messages.

This position will also work to maintain the AWEA brand by proper use of the AWEA logo, and elements of the AWEA creative design guidelines. Marketing functions will include creating marketing plans to grow/drive attendance at workshops and for job board and online store; creating marketing tools for AWEA via advertising, brochures, blast emails, websites and viral marketing - to encompass creation, design and distribution; develop content/messaging for event web sites and other AWEA sites; research markets, marketing tools and help streamline processes; create and implement a marketing plan for online store and for careersinwind.com AWEA is a fast-paced, high-energy organization with a very ambitious agenda and staff that is highly motivated. This position may experience high work demands under tight timelines. This position will frequently interact with internal AWEA staff, members, and industry partners.

Qualifications: While a Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred, incumbent may have any combination of education and relevant, progressively responsible experience enabling him/her to perform the requirements of the position. However, a minimum of 3 years marketing experience in association marketing, event marketing and advertising is required. Qualified applicants will have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present/sell ideas, demonstrate solutions and trends to show managers, work independently, and be knowledgeable of major industry trends. Candidates must be extremely organized and possess excellent PC skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, InDesign, PowerPoint and Adobe; provide excellent and timely customer service; possess excellent teamwork skills while working with a broad range of association staff.
