The Sr. Manager, Marketing & Communications (MBA Career Management) is responsible for assisting the Director and Associate Directors with the management of employer and student relations that will result in the recruitment and retention of employers with employment opportunities for the MBA students. S/he will support the career management goals of students and recruitment needs of employers by developing and implementing strategic marketing and communication plans that are aligned with the CM Partnership Plans strategic approach and reinforces the MSB brand, advising students and employers on CRM databases, linking curriculum to the applications of the job search databases, and collecting and analyzing career management data.

Job Responsibilities:

The duties may include managing projects related to marketing and recruitment, representing the school at recruitment and networking events, reviewing requests by vendors for recruitment support, coaching and advising students, meeting with prospective employers, vendors and alumni desiring to work with or have access to the MBA students and responding to requests for information. This person also has primary responsibility for technology/marketing including managing the Customer Relationship Management database and associated processes, and managing content websites that serve the student, employer and alumni population. Manage software packages and/or vendor relationships for recruitment, job posting, market research, online chats, virtual campus and career fair, web conferencing, social networks, etc as it relates to students, employers and alumni. S/he will also manage the collection, administration and analysis of data and reports, including the external ranking surveys for Business Week, Financial Times, MBA CSC, etc.

The Sr. Manager, Marketing & Communications (MBA Career Management) will recruit, manage and supervise the undergraduate student workers. All CM work assignments will be centrally coordinated through this position.

Requirements / Skills:

* Bachelors degree required but masters degree or masters coursework in business, higher education, communication, marketing or counseling preferred.
* At least 3 years experience within a corporate or university setting; marketing experience and database management experience preferred.
* Substantial working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience with database and desktop publishing tools preferred.
* Extremely strong interpersonal abilities and strong team orientation required.
* Must be able to work with various constituencies including students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
* Must be able to think strategically in the delivery of programs and services.
