InfoComm International, the leading trade association for the professional audiovisual industry, is seeking an experienced Director of Government Sales for expanding InfoComm's industry-recognized education and certification programs. The Director of Government Sales will work closely with the Sr. VP of Education and Certification to introduce InfoComm's programs to the government and military markets. Primary duties are as follows:

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate association goals.
• Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
• Direct staffing, training, and performance valuations to develop and control sales program.
• Direct channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals.
• Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy.
• Represent association at trade association meetings to promote products.
• Plan, manage and attend sector-specific trade shows.
• Make outbound lead follow up calls to potential new customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell education products and services.
• Expand product usage, sales, to targeted current customers.
• Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representative(s).
• Analyze and control expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
• Assess customer education needs, develop a strategic plan to address needs and execute those plans and measure results.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Provide feedback to Education and Certification Departments regarding product improvement, enhancement, or new product suggestions based on client interaction.
• Travel to and/or attend association events. Travel to clients' locations as required.
• Directly supervise one employee in the Education Department.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three or more years experience in a government sales organization; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge and general understanding of the audiovisual industry preferred.
