About the Job

PFC Energy, strategic advisors in global energy, seeks an Associate Analyst to research and write analyses on the Regional competitive position and asset portfolios of international oil and gas companies. The position will provide the opportunity for exposure to the upstream oil and gas business. Furthermore, there is the opportunity to develop a regional expertise.

Responsibilities include:

• Research and write asset-specific summaries/ updates and input to PFC databases

• Research and write summary reports on the Regional E&P activities of international oil and gas companies
• Identify key assets, risks, and competitive strengths
• Analyze the regional Upstream competitive positioning of companies
• Undertake field production forecasts using established PFC methodologies
• Track key financial and performance metrics in databases
• Analyze the financial and operational performance of companies

Successful candidate will have:

• Strong attention to detail and appreciation of the importance of accuracy in research and analysis
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills (including quantitative software packages)
• Team player and deadline oriented
• Self-motivator
• Undergraduate degree required, post-graduate degree preferred
• Energy courses or experience a plus

This position will be located in Washington, DC. (valid US work permit required). PFC Energy offers competitive salary, benefits, and incentive compensation.
