Job Description :

Leading global advisory firm seeking a Business Development Associate or Manager at its Penn Quarter office.


Ideal Candidate:

Ambitious, energetic, self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment, and is curious about infrastructure projects, current events, and policy so as to be able to craft messaging, converse with and sell to high level C-Suite infrastructure professionals. Preference for candidates fluent in Spanish, English, and French.

CG/LA is considered the thought leader for the US infrastructure sector and perhaps the world at large and has a large network of infrastructure professionals from the development, policy, and finance sectors. Core services provided by CG/LA Infrastructure include the Infrastructure Leadership Forum Series, Strategic Consulting, Project Development, and Macroeconomic analysis based on proprietary tools. Together these services form a dynamic package allowing stakeholders to properly identify key market challenges, connect with each other, and effectively develop business. CG/LA is revolutionizing its business and the infrastructure model by incorporating different
models of project financing including blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

CG/LA seeks a Business Development Associate or Manager to join our Sales Team. CG/LA’s core area of
business is its Leadership Forums, and thus sales are focused on registrants and sponsors as well as outreach to strategic partners and project owners and developers who present their projects at our Forum’s. This requires a high level of understanding of the infrastructure industry and specific projects, which can be learned quickly by someone with intellectual curiosity.


Responsibilities:

• Responsible for working with a team to conduct outreach and invite our Strategic 100 project owners and developers to ensure successful Global, Latin American, and North American Leadership Forums.
• Conduct outreach to Leadership Forum partners and sponsors that results in increasing revenues from both existing and new sponsors
• Sign-up registrants for the Leadership Forums using existing contact database and warm leads in addition to identifying potential leads for cold-calling opportunities
• Cross sell Licenses for our GViP platform that contains hundreds of projects and thousands over
infrastructure professionals
• Attend local events and seminars to network and grow brand awareness with potential clients and partners
• Work with marketing associate to brainstorm content for weekly email blasts and other marketing
materials; Assist with crafting country specific messaging and translating regular communications
• Provide insight to continually evolve CG/LA’s growth strategy and increase sales
• Maintain relationships with and conduct surveys with existing clientele to determine how to better the client experience
• Assist with logistics including planning for the Leadership Forum’s and ensure the best experience for our clients and partners at the events
• Provide insight and feedback about projects to research team to ensure 360 degree view of Strategic 100 Projects
• Track sales metrics and provide weekly reports on sales effectiveness.


You will receive:

• Hands-on experience interacting with senior staff with globally recognized thought leaders on
infrastructure.
• Insight into the infrastructure sector and from visionaries in the field
• Introductions to industry experts and thought leaders by attending our Infrastructure Leadership Forums
• Opportunity to attend industry lectures and seminars in the DC area


Qualifications:

• Undergraduate Degree from accredited college or University with focus in business, international relations, liberal arts, engineering or other hard sciences.
• At least 1 year career experience working in Business Development or Sales
• Proficient with Microsoft Office. Experience with Salesforce, and Pardot
• Must be a highly organized, detailed oriented, self-motivated, persistent individual able to be positive and enthusiastic in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Foreign languages skills highly advantageous, particularly Spanish and French.


Compensation:

• Commensurate with Industry Experience
• Health and dental benefits provided
• Generous holiday and PTO


Expectations:

• Travel up to 15% for events and other business development opportunities may be required
• Reports to the Chief Operating Officer
