Please join the Washington Network Group when we convene this special event on Wednesday, May 28, with The International Tennis Cub of Washington at their very exclusive club, Prince's Court. You will be treated to an exhibition of the oldest and most magnificent of all racquet sports. Beer and wine will be flowing aplenty and fine fayre will awaken your taste buds. Shameless networking continues throughout the evening, as well!
About this Event:
The game of court tennis was invented about 700 years ago, was last in the Olympics in 1910, and is only played by about 10,000 people in the world. Prince's Court is one of only 10 in the whole United States, and one of only 45 in the entire world.
This really is an opportunity to experience a sport that most people you know will never have heard of. The balls are still hand made and the racquets are still made of wood.
Your thirst for knowledge will be satiated through an interactive explanation of the game by the resident court tennis pros, followed by an exhibition game, and then a chance to try your own hand at the sport... So, bring your squash/ racquet ball/ tennis whites and court shoes (you can change on site), and then venture onto the court to hit some balls. Everybody who wants to will have a go and those who don't will be thoroughly entertained by those who do!
So, mark May 28 in your diaries and register for this event online; Some of you will be invited back for a free private lesson, and, who knows... one of you may be a future world champion!?!
