Cynthia Punsalan will speak about the Women at Grant Thornton initiative, and unveil for us†the successful programs implemented by the firm that have gained national recognition. Since the initiative was started in 2004, the number of women partners at the firm has increased by 197 percent, growing from 31 to 92.† Silvia Dumitrescu,†WLF Chair & Vice President†of Marketing†and Business Development at the†DC Building Industry Association (DCBIA), will introduce the session.†Donít miss this informative seminar and opportunity to†engage with other women leaders!

Cynthia Punsalan
Director
Grant Thornton LLP

Cynthia Punsalan is a Practice Director with Grant Thornton. Cynthia has twenty years of experience in the private and public sector in the areas of human capital, strategy and management consulting, financial services, operational improvement, business transformation, and program management. In her current role, Cynthia leads the Preparedness, Response and Personnel account and is the Global Security and Justice Financial Management Industry Practice Lead within Grant Thorntonís Global Public Sector. Cynthia has also served as a Women at Grant Thornton Office Champion for the past three years. Cynthia began her government management consulting career at IBM (formerly PwC Consulting). Prior to joining PwC Consulting, Cynthia held leadership roles in the golf and training industry. A native of the Philippines and Hampton Roads area, Cynthia now lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and 15 month old twins.

The WLF provides tools to support women in their pursuit of high-level executive and board positions by convening special events on compelling topics of interest, and by cultivating an expansive business network.
