Jason Levergood is a senior manager with Grant Thornton LLP in the firm's Global Public Sector Practice located in Alexandria, Virginia. Jason's consulting career is currently focused on the global public sector in the International Development Funding Agency (IDFA) market including major development partners like the World Bank Group, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), etc., providing an opportunity for Jason to use his management skills, diverse cultural background and linguistics to uphold the mission of anti-corruption and anti-poverty in this growing industry. Jason's International Vertical Market Sector (IVMS) team is commissioned by Grant Thornton International to break new ground for the firm worldwide by supporting the 110 member firms in the Grant Thornton network through marketing and member firm development, engagement execution, business development, and staff management. Jason was recently a part of a team that was awarded for the development of a worldwide anti-corruption survey report titled "Resisting Corruption in the Public Sector" on behalf of the International Consortium for Governmental Financial Managers (ICGFM).
 
Jason has spent six years combined in China and Japan and began his consulting career in Tokyo with a regional management consulting practice, headquartered in Hong Kong. Soon after returning to the U.S. in 2003, he began private and public sector management consulting for Fujitsu Consulting. Jason has significant experience in managing language and cultural exchange programs in the U.S., China and Japan, translating teaching and delivering business presentations, workshops and professional performances. Proficient in spoken Japanese and Mandarin with knowledge of Spanish and Russian, Jason has designed and implemented original ESL programs with students and professionals from around the world. He has also authored manuals, designed and implemented training programs for end users on various IT systems. Jason is currently working towards an international MBA and holds a degree in Communications and Dramatic Arts from Appalachian State University.
