Kate Heffley is a senior consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton focused on communications and training for the firm's Strategic Business Intelligence team. Prior to Booz Allen, Kate was director of communications for Educational Options, Inc., an award-winning educational technology company. Before EdOptions, Kate spent seven years with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world's largest business federation. Her roles included director of advocacy communications and advertising and director of the Chairman's Program. She managed strategic communications projects and handled the public relations and issues advocacy efforts of the Chamber's top board executives.
During her tenure with the Chamber, Kate was an adjunct instructor and facilitator for the organization's executive education program, Chamber Institute. She also gained experience in the Chamber's International Division, where she worked on U.S.-European and U.S.-Indo business commercial relations. These roles took her nationally and internationally, organizing delegations of U.S. executives to advance initiatives in key industries and countries, including the IT sector in India.
Kate holds a Masters degree in Public Communication from American University. Her undergraduate is in International Business from James Madison University. As an undergrad, Kate lived and worked in Spain, completing coursework at the University of Salamanca. Born in Germany, Kate's Army upbringing sparked an avid interest in travel and languages. Kate resides in Arlington and is active in her neighborhood and parish communities as a volunteer. |
