On Wednesday, April 14, 2005, the Washington Network Group convened a Washington Insiders luncheon with guest of honor Marta Glazier, Managing Principal of First Western Capital, visiting from Moscow, Russia.
This Members-Only event was limited to 16 participants and took place at The Metropolitan Club in Washington, D.C.
About Our Discussant
Marta Glazier, is Managing Principal at First Western Capital, which provides financial advisory services to Russian & CIS companies looking for direct investment or strategic partnerships. Prior to FWC, she worked at the Co-Publisher of The Moscow Times and Publisher of The Russia Profile at Independent Media in Moscow. While at IM, Marta launched 2 new magazines and 2 websites. She has contributed articles to Finnish Ekonomi and techcentralstation.com on Russian policy and its new market economy. Marta worked as an Associate for the Chicago-based private equity firm, Prism Capital. Prior to business school at The University of Chicago, she worked as a financial analyst for nearly three years in the Principal Transactions Group and Equity Capital Markets Divisions of Credit Suisse First Boston. She graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 1993 and the University of Pennsylvania in 1997 with Honors in Diplomatic History and Russian Regional Studies.
Marta offered comments at the outset of our meeting, and then had an informal discussion with us over lunch.
