On Wednesday, July 13, 2005, the Washington Network Group's Mobile Roundtable convened an Executive Forum with  Melanie Stensrud, Vice President, Listener Care at XM Satellite Radio. We met at The Metropolitan Club in Washington, D.C. Seating was limited to 17 people.

Mobile Roundtable Executive Forum

The Mobile Roundtable Executive Forum addresses the needs of industry leaders in the wireless and mobile applications sectors. The WNG's Mobile Roundtable meets periodically for special forums, expert briefings, and VIP events. Patrick Dine, Vice President North America of MATERNA, chairs the Mobile Roundtable. Our attendees included representatives from the media, corporate, investment, policy, and government sectors.

About Our Discussant

Melanie Stensrud is responsible for all Customer Service operations at XM Satellite Radio, including billing operations. Ms. Stensrud and her team develop and implement customer service policies that span the customer lifecycle from order entry through billing and trouble management. XM is the fourth customer service organization Melanie has built from inception.

Before joining XM Satellite Radio, Melanie was Director of Business Operations for Bell Atlantic's Call Center Services group. Prior to her service with Bell Atlantic, she worked with American Mobile Satellite, (now Motient) and Sprint Communications.

For this Mobile Roundtable luncheon, Melanie has offered to comment on the challenges of building a care organization from scratch and the pros and cons of working with outsource partners, and to have an informal discussion with us over lunch.

This luncheon program is convened under our "Mobile Roundtable Executive Forum", which is designed to address the interests of industry leaders in the wireless and mobile applications sectors. Our attendees include representatives from the corporate, investment, policy, and government sectors.

Venue Considerations

While inside The Metropolitan Club, please note that no cell phones or personal communication devices are permitted to be used in the Clubhouse. Please observe the dress code - coat and tie for gentlemen, commensurate attire for ladies - no tennis shoes allowed.
