WNG Gallery Reception - Irvine Contemporary Art

On Thursday, February 26, 2004, the Washington Network Group convened an Art Gallery Reception & Talk with Irvine Contemporary Art on the topic of "The Art Value Chain: How to Appreciate and Value Contemporary Art".

This special event took place from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM at the Irvine Contemporary Art Gallery, located at 1710 Connecticut Avenue, NW in Dupont Circle - Washington, D.C.

Our reception featured a talk by Martin Irvine, Director of Irvine Contemporary Art, on "The Art Value Chain: How to Appreciate and Value Contemporary Art." The talk was designed for anyone looking for an insider's view of the contemporary art scene with tips on how value is created in today's art market. The discussion refered to works currently on exhibition in the Irvine Contemporary Art gallery.

On view at the time was a show of "Contemporary Impressions: Masterworks of Contemporary Printmakers, 1960s-2003." Artists included Frank Stella, Donald Judd, Richard Serra, Judy Pfaff, Robert Rauschenberg, Zao Wou-Ki, Roberto Matta, and Arthur Luis Piza.

30 WNG Members and guests attended this special event.

Special thanks to WNG Members Martin Irvine and Franck Goron for making this event happen.
