Nancy Bayerle has joined The McCormick Group as a Principal Recruiter specializing in Mobility and Cyber, including TS SCI FSP; Previously, she was founder and CEO of Mile 20 Recruiting, LLC.

Jeff White recently became Director of Strategic Communications at The Hitachi Foundation; Previously he was with Environics Communications in Washington DC.

Susan Sadigova of United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce has successfully completed a three-day Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) Trade Mission from United States to Azerbaijan with the participation of 13 leading American tech companies, Oracle, Lockheed Martin, Hughes and many others among them. The trade mission measured another exceptional success for boosting U.S.-Azerbaijan trade relations in the ICT field. Another round of trade mission is planned to take place in May, 2014.

Robert Gemmill joins the WNG and its Government Roundtable steering committee from LEVICK, a leading strategic communications and public relations firm. Robert specializes in litigation communications, data breaches, and crisis work across many different practice areas. Before joining LEVICK, Robert was a civil litigation attorney for a law firm in Alexandria, Virginia.

Allison Shapira of Global Public Speaking recently returned from her first trip to East Africa, where she taught public speaking to 50 women from 25 countries through the DC-based nonprofit Vital Voices. It was an incredible opportunity to help women leaders who are engaged in inspiring and often dangerous work advocating for human rights and education for women and girls worldwide. Daniel Haney has taken a new role as Federal Account Manager for Federal Civilian accounts for Sun Management Inc, based in Arlington, Virginia. Sun Management is a Value Add Reseller that architects advanced security and network solutions for the federal and commercial industries. Sun Management has enjoyed much success with agencies such as DOE, DISA & DHS engineering security solutions around firms such as Palo Alto, Infoblox, CrowdStrike and Arista. Dan is a member of the WNG Board of Advisors.

Ashley Korner has been promoted to Vice President, Sales & Operations at Carr Workplaces.

Evelyn Yang Garland has been elected to the American Translators Association's (ATA) Board of Directors. Evelyn is President of Acta Chinese Language Services, LLC, a translation company specializing in Chinese translation for business, legal, and government clients. She is an ATA-certified English into Chinese translator and Maryland court-certified Mandarin interpreter, and has been granted "expert member" status by the Translators Association of China for her professional achievement and leadership roles in the translation industry.

James Wilkinson was named Vice President for Strategy and Growth at the National Foreign Trade Council (NFTC).  Prior to this, he had been Executive Director of the Washington International Trade Association (WITA) since 2003.

Chris Leahy becomes Vice President of Federal Government Relations and Policy for Bayer Corporation after seven years with Peabody Energy. Chris is a member of the WNG Board of Advisors.

Uli Finkenbusch, former foreign policy adviser to the FDP caucus in the German parliament, recently relocated from Berlin to the Washington, DC area. Now here, he works as a consultant and is busy exploring the DC political landscape. One issue of particular interest to him are negotiations for a Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) which were kicked off earlier this year.

Larry Checco, of Checco Communications, is currently serving on a Government Accountability Office (GAO) task force seeking to set auditing and accountability standards for pubic private partnerships. He's also been asked to be a regular contributor to an on-line radio talk show (www.danahey.com). In addition, this winter Larry will be speaking to several groups in the DC area on a number of communications and fundraising-related topics. Tom Davis has been asked to pull together a sustainability summit for The Conference Board in which leaders will look at financial drivers for sustainability and analyze the water/energy nexus. Bill Stokes spoke to visiting Kosovar participants in the Hope Fellowship Program about networking norms in the Nation's Capital. The fellows were hosted by the National Albanian American Council (NAAC) on a USAID-funded program to strengthen the role of women in policy and decision-making in the Balkans.
